QNB Exclusive Sponsor of Qatar Women's Sport Committee for 3 years

Doha, 3 March 2014 - QNB, The World’s Strongest Bank, has signed a 3 year sponsorship deal to be the exclusive sponsor of all the events organized by Qatar Women's Sport Committee. The sponsorship reflects the bank’s commitment as a good corporate citizen, and comes as an integral part of its social responsibility in the country, particularly and in the area of women’s sport activities.

Mr. Ali Rashid Al-Mohannadi, the Executive General Manager and Chief Operating Officer at QNB Group, signed the contract on behalf of QNB, while Ms. Ahlam Salem Al-Mana, president, Qatar Women's Sport Committee, signed on behalf of the Committee.

Mr. Ali Rashid Al-Mohannadi, Executive General Manager and Chief Operating Officer at QNB Group, said:”At QNB, we are fully committed to support sports activities, and women’s sport in particular, to highlight the importance of sports and its values to our society”.

”In coordination with the Committee; QNB will invite its female employees to participate in one of the sports activities, in order to raise awareness about the Committee’s important activities and events” Added Al Mohannadi.

Ms. Ahlam Salem Al-Mana, President of Qatar Women's Sport Committee, said:” We’re grateful to QNB for its valuable and important sponsorship that would help the committee achieve many of its aspirations and objectives in women’s sports”

QNB sponsors a number of local tournaments, including Her Highness the Consort of the Emir of Qatar’s Cup Final for Women’s Football and Handball.

Final for Women’s Football and Handball, the Football, Handball and Table Tennis League, and the State Sports Day.

The Bank will also be the exclusive sponsor of the women’s national teams in all local and international tournaments held in Doha or any foreign or international tournament in which the national teams will participate, including: the Second International Handball Tournament for Women, the AFC U-16 Championship, the Second Gulf Handball Tournament for Women, the Kuwait International Open Championship, and the Asian Championship for Juniors that will be held in Jordan.

In addition the Bank will support the conferences and the workshops organized by the Committee, including: the Asian Football Confederation’s workshop in Kuala Lumpur, the Fourth Women’s Leadership Training Conference and the Academy Conference in Switzerland in addition to other related events.
