Doha, 29 November 2017 – QNB Group, the largest financial institution in the Middle East and Africa, sponsored the 4th annual Great British Festival 2017 organized by the British Council in collaboration with the British Embassy in Qatar.
His excellency the British Ambassador in Qatar Ajay Sharma along with senior management from QNB attended the opening ceremony. This festival year after year celebrates culture, education, tourism and business between both Qatar and the UK. This festival runs for 2 weeks as it celebrates and presents the best the country offers from educational to investment opportunities. This festival aims to expand its relationship with Qatar and demonstrate that it should be the partner of choice.
This festival builds on the success of the Qatar UK 2013 year of culture by extending this year’s events, to include British Festival VIP Gala dinner, Ajyal Youth Film Festival, street art Festival, Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra Concert and Qatar UK Alumni Network event.
