Doha, 26 April 2014 - QNB, The World’s Strongest Bank, will be the exclusive sponsor of “The Information Security Conference in the Financial Sector – Challenges & Solutions” taking place in coordination with The Qatar Central Bank (QCB) on 27th-28th April 2014 at The Ritz Carlton Hotel in Doha.
QNB’s sponsorship, which confirms its commitment to support important economic, financial and banking events hosted in Qatar, will enhance the Conference Agenda to both highlight and discuss the pertinent issues, opportunities and challenges facing information security. The conference will explore best global practices and standards and look closely at the areas of security, safety and confidentiality in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
The Conference will feature many participants from inside and outside Qatar, in addition to information security specialized technical authorities, including the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
The financial system is one of the main pillars that the central bank and the other regulatory authorities want to develop and evolve as a key driver of The Qatar National Vision 2030 and the National Development Strategy.
