Doha, 02 August 2009 – Qatar National Bank (QNB) announced the launch of a new promotion awarding twice the normal Qmiles to customers using QNB Co-branded Credit Cards in point-of-sale (POS) transactions worth QR500 or above.
The promotion runs from 02 August to 19 September 2009 and is available exclusively to QNB Qatar Airways Co-branded MasterCard Credit Card customers making purchases worth QR500 or above. Customers using their cards to complete 2 or more similar QR500 transactions during this period, will also receive automatic entries to weekly draws to win cash prizes worth QR15,000 each.
Qmiles are the reward points of Qatar Airways’ loyalty program and the accrued Qmiles can be redeemed for air tickets, upgrades and special gifts.
QNB, a leading provider of integrated banking solutions, launched this promotion to coincide with the Month of Ramadan to give its customers greater value for their money, especially during the Holy Month and the onset of Eid-Al-Fitr, when families are often looking to optimize value on all expenses. It is also a peak period for families and children preparing to return to school after the summer holidays.
QNB Co-branded MasterCard credit cards provide customers with the best and fastest way to accumulate Qmiles. Standard cardholders normally earn one Qmile for every QR 10 spent while Gold cardholders earn one Qmile for every QR 8 spent and Platinum cardholders earn one Qmile for every QR 6 spent. Customers spending QR500 or more per transaction will earn twice these amounts during the promotion period.
The Qatar Airways Co-branded MasterCard Credit Card is one of the most popular credit cards in Qatar, and QNB was the first bank to launch the card in November 2005.
