The event provides job opportunities for university and high school graduates to help them pursue promising careers through the Bank’s various departments.

During its Career Days, the Bank provides a number of employment opportunities in various areas of the banking and financial sector. It also provides language training as well as specialized banking courses to the students via the dedicated QNB Learning & Development Center in Doha.

Supporting the country’s youth and providing opportunities for growth are key tenets of the Bank’s corporate social responsibility charter and events such as the QNB Career Day support the Bank’s Qatarization plans as well as support QNB Group’s growth both domestically and internationally.

The Bank has consistently worked to exceed expectations across all its operations. The Qatarization ratio at QNB is the highest in the banking sector and currently stands at 54%, with 46% of its top management being Qatari employees.

80% of the Group’s total branch and office managers are Qatari, with 87% of QNB Al Islami branch managers and 78% of QNB branch managers being nationals.

More than 210 employees where recruited in 2010 and more than 40 applicants will be hired by the end of the year, according to the Bank. In addition, 65 students were trained during the Bank’s summer training program. In 2011 the Bank aims to employ around 300 Qatari employees.

Members of QNB’s Human Capital department will be present at the Career Day to answer each candidate’s questions and will provide graduates with counseling and early-stage career planning options to help them choose the most appropriate career path.

QNB’s Career Day is expected to draw a lot of applicants as in previous years. The Bank organizes these events every year as well as participates in the Qatar Career Fair and other career fairs organized by Qatari educational institutions domestically, and Embassies abroad.
