Doha, 28 November 2018 – QNB, the largest financial institution in the Middle East and Africa, participated in the second student union forum in Los Angeles, California organized by the Qatari Embassy in Washington.

QNB’s participation in this event highlights its role in supporting the Qatari younger generation to become future leaders and contribute to the development of the State of Qatar.

In the event, the Bank’s Human Capital team presented to the students a comprehensive slideshow on job opportunities in the banking sector and the development programs and opportunities offered by the Bank. The presentation highlighted QNB’s Training and Development Center’s activities, such as talent management, development programs and QNB’s envoy program. The envoy program prepares employees residing in Qatar to be allocated in an oversea branch, providing them the opportunity to gain international banking skills and expertise.

This forum is an ideal opportunity to support the development of the State of Qatar and to provide a platform to showcase scholarships and recruitment opportunities. The event also highlighted training opportunities for the young generation to explore their potential and help them achieve the economic, social and political goals set for QNV 2030 and prepare them to be future leaders.

QNB is keen to participate in similar events both within the State of Qatar, such as those organized by local universities, or on an international level, such as events organized by the Qatari embassies and consulates.

The Group’s presence through its subsidiaries and associate companies now extends to more than 31 countries across three continents providing a comprehensive range of advanced products and services. The total number of employees is around 29,000 operating through more than 1,200 locations, with an ATM network of more than 4,300 machines.
