QNB launches Executive Training Program in partnership with the Banker’s Academy and the Franklin Covey institute

Specialized Management & Leadership Development programs developed for QNB Managers and Heads in cooperation with the US-based Banker’s Academy and the renowned Franklin Covey Institute.
 
Doha 26 April 2011 - QNB, in collaboration with the USA-based Banker’s Academy and the Franklin Covey Institute, hosted specialized development programs for its branch and department Managers to help develop their leadership skills in line with best international practice and within the framework of a long-term Talent Management strategy.

All programs are customized and are aligned to QNB’s business and people development objectives. The program curriculum is supported by innovative training tools and techniques to ensure transfer of knowledge and practical application of skills to the workplace. The quality of the programs is ensured through external international certification and accreditation from Franklin Covey and Bankers Academy Institutes

Mr Ali Sharif Al-Emadi, the CEO of QNB, stated that Human Capital is a critical enabling resource and of great strategic importance to QNB. Having a continuous leadership pipeline is a key to meeting and sustaining the Bank’s current and future business growth and expansion plans. Providing our people with regular training and development opportunities is an integral component of QNB’s strategy. It is also an effective risk management tool for financial institutions such as QNB Group as it ensures a continuous supply of leaders capable of leading the bank to meet and exceed the expectations of shareholders and customers. QNB supports and invests in Human Capital initiatives that create impact and bring about improvement and change.
 
The Group Chief Executive wished the participants success and also hoped these programs offered by two leaders in the international training and development arena, would be a resounding success. This is one of the most important leadership and management development initiatives conducted by the Bank, he said, which had the dual benefit of providing these managers with the means and knowledge to lead effectively and also inspire their teams to aim higher and achieve greater success.
