Doha, 22 September, 2016 - QNB, the leading financial institution in the Middle East and Africa, has organized a blood donation drive with its employees in conjunction with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC).
This important annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative was held for this year at QNB’s Head Office and Al Mathaf buildings over a two-day period and involved employees from different departments.
This year’s campaign followed on from a similar successful exercise the previous years, which continues on the previously established objectives of enhancing blood bank stocks at HMC and raising awareness of the importance of donating blood and the resulting health benefits to society.
QNB partners with Hamad Medical Corporation in this important health and wellbeing initiative, which falls within the health sector, one of the pillars of QNB’s robust CSR strategy, which focuses on six main areas, including Health and Environment.
The blood donation drive is one of QNB’s many CSR initiatives which the Group holds with HMC and other prominent organizations in Qatar and across its international network operating in more than 30 countries to support the communities in which it operates. The Group is committed to strongly supporting society in Qatar and abroad as part of its CSR program, which is considered an integral part of the Bank’s strategy.
