Doha, 19 June, 2014 – QNB, One of the World’s Strongest Banks, in collaboration with Franklin Covey have delivered a specialized development programme entitled “The QNB Group Leadership Development Programme (LDP)” for Senior Management in Qatar.
This International best practice programme specializing in modern leadership theories and techniques will both help develop leadership skills within the framework of a long-term Talent Management Strategy and assist QNB with its matrixed leadership needs now extending across 26 countries of operations and 3 Continents. Importantly, it is also viewed by QNB as an important retention tool in developing key employees that make up the Senior and Executive Leadership teams.
The Programme entails an initial workshop session spread over 3 days and participants are then equipped and supported with a full set of tools, techniques and other resources to allow them to implement what they have both learned and achieved during the workshops back within their specific daily roles at QNB. In addition, they will also have access to online leadership aides, expert interviews and valuable resources to assist in the creation of a Development Plan that the individual will implement over the subsequent 6 months.
A follow-up assessment and workshop will then be conducted to measure the participant’s leadership capabilities against the benchmarks set within the Programme.
Commenting on the introduction of this leadership programme, Nada Al Ansari - QNB Executive Manager, Centers of Excellence said:
“The QNB Group Leadership Development Programme (LDP) is more than just a training workshop. It is about addressing QNB’s needs as the biggest Bank in Qatar and a leading Financial Institution in The MENA Region. We need to create great leaders, great teams and great results to stay ahead of the competition and this important initiative with Franklin Covey addresses these factors.
This Programme is just one component of the Bank’s extensive range of initiatives created to train and develop QNB employees to inspire trust and build credibility with their customers, stakeholders and colleagues. We need to constantly refine and evolve capabilities with technical and practical assistance and support and the LDP is testament to QNB’s ongoing commitment”.
QNB was recently voted “The Best Bank in The Middle East” by Euromoney Magazine and has the twin strategic visions of being a MEA Icon by 2017 and being recognized as a Top 50 Global Bank by 2030.
