QNB holds a Graduation Ceremony to recognize its Certified Management Development Program

Doha, 19 February, 2014  - Qatar National Bank (QNB), The World’s Strongest Bank, today held a graduation ceremony to recognize its Certified Management Development Program (MDP). This program helps the participants develop and accelerate their leadership and management skills, giving its future leaders the potential to achieve their professional ambitions and goals. The MDP is a part of QNB Group’s Talent Management program 'to build and strengthen the management & leadership capability to manage and support QNB Group's rapid growth & business'.

QNB’s Learning and Development function has, for a third year, successfully organized and delivered this bespoke Management Development Program in collaboration with Aon Hewitt. Aon Hewitt has a deep level of experience and expertise in the development of leadership skills and QNB’s strong partnership with Aon Hewitt is significant to improving and strengthening the leadership capabilities of QNB’s talented professionals.

The Management Development Program consists of a varied series of integrated workshops over a three month period. The series of modules focuses on enhancing a number of leadership skills and techniques; including self-development, managerial skills and change management, giving employees a strong grounding for effective leadership and successful career development. The three workshops combine theoretical and practical techniques and employees will be expected to complete a number of self, group and work-based assignments. Upon completion, the participants are awarded with a certified QNB MDP certificate.

Mohamed Mahmoud Al-Raisi, from QNB Corporate Banking, who successfully completed the program and today received certification, commented that the “QNB Management Development Program was one of the best courses I have attended as it was interactive, practical and enhanced my managerial skills. It has further improved our skills with better behaviors, efficiency and time management. As a long serving employee in QNB I appreciate our management’s concern in upgrading their employees’ skills and abilities to prepare them for the next level”.

Kaltham Salem H. Al Hamad, from QNB Strategy, also commented that “This course was more than excellent. It is useful for us, as QNB employees, as well as for life outside the bank”. This view was supported by Ali Al Jamal, from QNB Group Internal Audit, who added that “The program was very useful and it will be very useful for my job”.
