H.E Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Faisal Al Thani, the President of the Camel Racing Organizing Committee of Qatar, praised QNB for its continuing support of the traditional sport.

QNB’s support is in line with its commitment to preserve Qatar’s traditional sports which are an essential part of Qatar’s heritage & culture. The Bank aims to help promote the role of Qatari heritage sports through both domestic racing festivals as well as international events such as these.

The festival featured a large number of dignitaries and guests from Qatar and the GCC, as well as senior officials from QNB, and a large number of Qatari citizens.

Camel racing is one of the most popular sports in Qatar and is one of the few traditions remaining from the desert life of the Arabs of yesterday. Camels are also revered treasures of Qatar’s rich heritage and remain symbols of great pride for all Qataris.
