Doha, 1 May 2019 -- QNB, the largest financial institution in the Middle East and Africa, took part in the official opening of entertainment city KidZania Doha at Aspire Park. The bank is the Official Partner of this award-winning entertainment concept.
KidZania is an entertainment city that offers children the opportunity to play “adult jobs” in up to a 100 pretend roles ranging from being a doctor, news reporter, actor, firefighter and more. The indoor theme park is set in a city that is built to scale for children, complete with buildings, paved streets, vehicles and a functioning economy.
QNB’s involvement is part of the role-play activities world provides children with the ability to learn basic banking services through its miniature branch and ATMs.
Children will be able to spend, save, and invest their kidZos, KidZania’s currency. Through the exciting role-playing concept at QNB’s branch, children will discover the challenges of being a banker. It would empower tomorrow’s generation to be financially aware and responsible.
QNB’s partnership with KidZania stems from its long-standing commitment to supporting child development and education as part of the QNB Group’s diverse CSR program.
Every year QNB develops programs and take part in events to explain the importance of financial planning and money management to children. QNB staff regularly take part in Global Money Week activities to reach over 1,000 children in 15 different schools across Qatar. These activities aim at developing the basic skills of children in the field of money management and planning to ensure a stable financial future.
In the past, QNB introduced “The Money Made Easy” book to educate children on how to better understand banking and manage their finances. The book is an easy guide to money and the economy for children aged nine and above.
