QNB Group holds a strategy conference to announce its new 2020 vision

Doha, 1 December 2016 – QNB Group, the leading financial institution in the Middle East and Africa region, recently held a strategy conference at the Sharq Village and Spa in Doha during which the Group discussed its new vision for the year 2020: “To become a leading bank in MEASEA by 2020”.

The conference took place over a course of 2 days and was attended by the Group’s executive management, general managers and CEOs from across the Group’s international network.

The conference carries great importance to the Group’s future direction, as it comes at the end of a phase of its global journey with the realization of the Group’s 2017 vision of becoming a Middle East and Africa icon and the focus on QNB Group’s strategy for the coming period to achieve the Group’s vision for 2020. The efforts in this area will include understanding this vision, defining the key strategic priorities toward its realization, and identifying potential opportunities to capitalize upon.

Topics of focus also included the Group’s new international governance model, the strategies to be followed across the Group’s international network to increase and sustain growth, asset and wealth management, global market updates and trends, and the Group’s global expansion strategy.

As well as discussing the Group’s strategy, the conference presents a great opportunity for networking across QNB’s growing international network, as well as a chance to present, discuss, and review the progress achieved during the previous period and the Group’s business plans and to help the Group sustain and build upon this progress and growth and capitalize on its success.
