Doha, 31 Dec 2013 - QNB, the World’s Strongest Bank, has successfully brought customers, social media followers and employees together with the football superstars of Paris Saint Germain during their current visit to Doha.
As part of The Group’s comprehensive Corporate Social Responsibility Program, QNB organized an exclusive and successful dinner for 25 guests at The Torch Doha Hotel on Monday 30th December 2013, to celebrate the strong working partnership between the two iconic international brands.
The PSG Stars who attended the dinner at The Torch Doha Hotel were Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Salvatore Sirigu, Christophe Jallet, Gregory Van Der Wiel and Zoumana Camara. They met with guests, had photographs taken with the range of ages present and handed out Club Merchandise to the lucky attendees.
In addition to the exclusive private dinner occasion, QNB also arranged for 50 employees, drawn from across all areas of The Group, to attend a PSG Training Session on Monday 30th December at The Aspire Zone. They were able to watch the players go through their routines and afterwards have both their photographs taken with the stars and receive a range of Club Merchandise as souvenirs of the special day.
French Football Giants PSG are currently in Doha as part of a four day training camp visit which will culminate in a match against Spanish Club Real Madrid on Thursday 2nd January 2014. QNB is always looking for innovative ways to reward its customers and this initiative comes as an extension of QNB’s general interest in sports with a particular emphasis on football.
In 2012, this culminated in QNB announcing a sponsorship arrangement with The French Ligue 1 Champions. This aligned perfectly with QNB’s International profile and expansion strategy which now extends to 26 countries worldwide and across 570 locations. In 2013, this mutually beneficial sponsorship arrangement was upgraded to include Shirt Sponsorship.
Under the terms of the existing sponsorship deal, QNB also benefits from advertising at the club’s Parc Des Princes Stadium in Paris as well as having its logo appear on the back of all Ligue 1 match tickets and other similar sponsorship benefits.
Combined, this gives The World’s Strongest Bank and the largest Bank in The MENA Region, theinternational exposure of having its brand appear regularly in front of a global audience thereby helping QNB to further elevate its brand visibility to target audiences.
Commenting on the exclusive PSG events, Yousef Darwish (GM Communications) said:
“We are delighted to be continuing our successful sponsorship relationship with Paris Saint Germain in such a positive manner. The exclusive opportunities provided for our customers, social media followers and employees to engage with the players has been very well received and appreciated by all concerned.
These special occasions will long live in the memories of all who took part and QNB is pleased to have been able to facilitate them”.
